Hey there.  How’s it going?

Do you ever feel like you are forcing yourself to write your blog?  Or do you ever feel you just don’t feel like blogging?  Or maybe that you are writing about one thing when you really just want to write about something else entirely?  That’s kind of how I’ve felt over the last week.

Sure, I’ve still been blogging my little heart out and trying to post as regularly as I can.  Also, on Saturdays I started posting photos without any text which I am calling “Silent Saturday,” so that I can still share with you a little snapshot of my life without really having to extrovert myself in the blogosphere.   But. . .

All I have really wanted to say is thanks.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts and comments with me- I try my best to respond to each and every one.  Thank you for every re-blog or share on Facebook and Reddit.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for resonating with my words and thoughts and photos.  I can’t even invent a sentence that begins to express my gratitude for your stopping by Momasteblog.  Every word of support, encouragement, comradierie, or compassion you share with me is noticed and appreciated.  A whole freaking lot.

I saw this video on Facebook, called “The Science of Happiness.”  The basic premise of this exeperiment was to challenge people to reach out to someone who changed their lives for the better, and then to call them and explain to them how they have touched and affected them.  The test results found that people who expressed gratitude led happier lives than those who did not.

Blogging has changed my life for the better, mainly because of my interactions with all of you. I have loved writing since I was eight years old, and am so thankful to have this forum for expressing myself, but I never imagined how blogging would connect me with so many rad peeps.  I look forward to hearing from you, reading your blogs, and trading stories up here in the interwebs.  There are days where I feel like I am swimming in the gratitude I feel for this cyber-communion.  In some ways, I have become a happier and more grounded person.  In most other ways I am still human, flawed and temperamental.

So, I just watned to take a moment and thank you.  You brighten up my day.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

That is really and truly all I wanted to blog about.  So there.  Thanks for listening.

  1. Gratitude really does work, it’s true. 🙂 And I feel a flood of gratitude every time I see a like or a comment or a share. But I am also grateful for all the thoughtful and interesting and soul-delving blogs I have read. I don’t read the newspapers (they are depressing and too full of non-news) but having a daily digest of intelligent real people to read is uplifting and fascinating and life-improving. Thank you.
