Three-Tenths

Standard

You’ve left three tenths of your dinner behind,

on the table next to a clothes hanger

and a blob of peanut butter

in the spot where your father usually sits.

Today feels like an interloper

with which I am annoyed, as I pour

a glass of wine into my empty stomach.
